Rio Productions is Lighting up the roads on St Maarten last night the 10th of April with their fifth annual lighted parade, and done so very successfully!

Revelers of the Lighted Parade 2016

New this year was the “Rio Village” located on the Ring Road opposite the Ennia Building. With this the organizers created a new “hot spot” where spectators can gather, eat, drink and party while waiting on the lighted parade to pass by and also the place where the parade ended with an awesome after party where the musical entertainment continued to play well after the parade.

Burning Flames and Small Axe were the bands on the road, and for the first time Soggy Dollar Bar joined the event with a trailer with light and sound effects while the DJ’s beats

swept up the revelers.

Every year Rio sets the bar a little higher for themselves and the event, finding that next level wow factor with their costume section and the flashing gadgets that main sponsors Chippie and CLT provided.

We enjoyed the fantastic light show, parade and revelers. Can’t wait what they’ll come up with next year!!!
